Philanthropy

Zeta Beta Tau has a longstanding dedication and determination to philanthropy and community service. Social responsibility is a fundamental of the ZBT credo and is therefore taken just as seriously as any other aspect of the chapter. Only in giving back to those less fortunate than ourselves can we truly grow as individuals, and as a fraternity.

The brothers here at the Zeta Alpha Colony have been advancing rapidly in both philanthropy and service this fall.

Spring 2009

Get on the Ball 2009

When: Monday, March 23rd – Friday, March 27th
Where: Across the entire Florida State campus

The Zeta Alpha Colony of Zeta Beta Tau is proud to announce that it will hold its 1st Official Get on the Ball Event during the week of Monday, March the 23rd to Friday, March the 27th. Get on the Ball is a philanthropy whose aim is to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network, a nationally-recognized ZBT charity. During this week, brothers will roll a six foot diameter ball across the Florida State campus in order to collect as many signatures from students, faculty, and community members as possible. Donations will be collected from businesses prior to the event and donations will also be accepted on the day of the event.

Make sure you sign it; donate if you can. You just may be rewarded for your charity.

We will be having a Kick-off event on Friday March the 20th at the FSU vs. Clemson baseball game. The Brothers will have a table set up in the Plaza of Dick Howser Stadium collecting signatures as well as donations.

Our Goal for 2009: $1,000

Remember, only through your help can we reach our goal, so for more information, please see the Official Zeta Alpha Get on the Ball 2009 Event site at:

Spring Clothing Drive

The brothers of Zeta Alpha are holding a campus-wide clothing drive for the Tallahassee-area Salvation Army. Donation boxes will be placed in all 19 residence hall buildings on campus in addition to various sororities. Please find it in your heart to donate those old clothes collecting dust in your closet.

Zeta Alpha would like to thank the FSU Inter-Residence Hall Council as well as Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Sigma Delta Tau, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

Fall Service

Money is not the only donation you can provide, and this does not go without recognition at ZBT. The brothers of Zeta Alpha serve dinner meals to the less fortunate at the Tallahassee-Leon Homeless Shelter every other week. Time is money as they say; if anyone deserves our time, it is those who are less-privileged than ourselves.
